I tried using my new GTB Naira MasterCard to renew my domain this evening and it was declined. When I contacted Netfirms, they told me my bank was the one that declined the transaction not them. So I’ll have to go to GTB tomorrow and find out why transactions on my card are been blocked.

I’ll keep you posted ;-) but in the meantime contact your bank as well.

My dear Bro, thannks for every thing so far… i need you to tell me what you can about Netfirms concerning the domain registration and then hostgators as per webhosting. i need to know there wont be problems with myy registration with neither as i had with Just Host asper the websurfer card….i have read through the blog…but…cud still use more word from u…and if am not bying the $15 domain from Hostgator, will the overall charge be reduced since i am not paying for domain….thanks.

The Netfirm domain will cost you like $7.99 for the first year and after that I think it costs like $10 – $12. I ain’t sure now since they’ve increased the price of domain names worldwide. Netfirms accepted both my Graphcard generated card and Websurfer without need for verification.

With regards to Hostgator. I suggest you contact them first and you can mention that I referred you ’cause I place my orders with them using my Websurfer every time. Let me know what they you. If you ain’t ordering their domain, you won’t be charged for it. Simple ;-).

Thanks, but if i dont buy my Hosting yet Netfirms gives me a free hosting abi?….i will reach out to them soon. thanks.

Netfirms does give you webhosting but there are so many things you can’t do with their free hosting. Example: You can’t install wordpress. Also they will display an advert at the top of your website too ;-(.

My bro, I think the 30 days thing is no longer there. I have been refunded. But i had to keep shuttling between zenith Bank websurfer e-mail and Just Host Chat room. I had to request for a “Decline Receipt” which i forwarded to Zenth bank…but i was refunded anyways… thanks. Plz keep up the good work. Hope we will do more constructive work together soon…on both sides of Nation Building and Money making. God bless….How ur patients ….lol….

        • Udegbunam Chukwudi says

LOL. My patients dey oh! Them wan carry stress finish me. Thanks for the feedback. It’s such a relief to hear that the 30 days refund policy has been lifted. I’ll find time and edit that in my post on Zenith Bank’s Websurfer.

BTW thanks for the commission. I got my $2 from Netfirms ’cause you bought your domain from them using my affiliate link. (It was you right?)

My payment was refused, after I was asked to call them, I called and nobody picked the call, does it have to do with my using paypal for payment?

    • Udegbunam Chukwudi says

It’s possible. Remember Nigerians are not accepted by Paypal so getting an order via Paypal with a Nigerian IP could raise a red flag.

Hello my brother, i need to know, did you transfer the domain you bought from Netfirms to Hostgator, or did u just combine the two? and is it posible i host multiple Netfirms domain names with my hostgator hosting account? and if possible how? because i know if you want to buy hostgator hosting you caan buy with either a new domain name or an already existing one, but the issue is can i have multiple domain names from Netfirms been hsted on the Hostgator account without transferin the domain name? God bless.

    • Udegbunam Chukwudi says

You don’t need to transfer your domains to Hostgator. All you have to do is add your Hostgator DNS settings to your Netfirms domains under DNS and you’re good to go. That’s what I actually do.
