WordPress Security Fix: Protect Blog From Theft!

I just got this information from Perishable Press’ RSS feed. Apparently if your database should for any reason go down, there’s a possibility of visitors taking over your blog.

If your server should crash and a visitor tries to access your site, wordpress unable to access the database assumes that a database hasn’t been installed and therefore calls up from the wp-admin folder, install.php.

By simply entering an email address and specifying a blog title in this install.php page, ANYBODY could take over your blog.

Perishable Press offers 3 fixes to this but I prefer the first which is to DELETE install.php forever!
