If someone where to ask me right now, what exactly blogging was all about, I’m almost 100% sure that I would look clueless for a while before trying to explain what it’s really about.
Don’t get me wrong. I KNOW what blogging is all about but my problem is I don’t really know how to explain to a TOTAL newbie what it entails and how they can really stick to it and make a success of it.
According to BBC’s Ask Bruce, Blogging is a way of collecting links to web pages and sharing thoughts and ideas with people online.
For the guys are Tech-Faq, when one writes a web log and maintains it by adding or removing entries that is called blogging.
If you’re still somewhat of lost, not to worry, Karo Itoje of Blogging – The Beginner’s Complete Guide, has just written her very first e-book which rips into the whole blogging thing
.
In 9 chapters, Karo’s Blogging At A Glance, aims at demystifying what blogging is all about by
- Giving a brief history on blogging and what it’s really all about.
- Outlining the benefits of blogging to you both personally and financially.
- Clearing the most common myths et misconceptions about blogging.
- Offering tips on blogging as a business and succeeding @ it.
Blogging At A Glance is an ABSOLUTE must for folks entertaining the idea of starting of a blog and especially those looking @ making money online via blogging.
I can bet you that out of every 10 folks who read this e-book, only 2 will proceed to start a blog of their own ’cause they are determined to work hard @ it and succeed against all odds. There ain’t no sugar coated tips here but rather in-your-face facts.
You might need to print this e-book to really enjoy it ’cause it’s quite a load of text with poor spacing and no images @ all and this could hinder your reading the book till the very end. (Anyway I’ve got myopia and astigmatism so those could explain my issues with the text
)

I feel the same way man, when people start to ask me what I do for a living and what SEO is.
Anyway, blogging is somehow trickier than what most think of it, knowing that a lot of work is needed, whereas people mostly think of it as only to write. It’s a lot deeper than that, and I must say it’s a very challenging world (as I have only experienced it recently). But mainly, I am having fun doing it! You just need to focus and be passionate about it, and everything will fall in to place, I suppose.
By the way, I checked blogging-the-beginners-complete-guide.com, very promising
Regards,
Jason
It’s all about the passion man.
BTW you seem to have a serious problem with Akismet as it keeps filing your comment as spam. Also do be carefully how you change email addresses when commenting as my dofollow plug-in works based on email. Once your email address changes, you’re switched to nofollow until you hit 3 comments with that email address.
Do I need to contact Akismet to have this fixed? About the email, I forgot to change it, it was auto-reloaded by my browser, darn it
By the way, thanks for greeting me on my birthday
12 days left and it’s your turn man
LOL. Don’t sweat my birthday. I wasn’t raised with the habit of celebrating it so it’s like every other day to me
. I’m about to install and test Conditional Captcha plug-in which claims to help solve the Akismet issues.
Conditional Captcha plug-in has been installed, tested and approved. Loves it. I’ll blog about it soon
SEO plays a vital role in marketing a blog as it stands next to content. If you have a Good content + SEO, 80% of your blog marketing is over. So the book helps you for the latter part.
Nice review. Honestly though I don’t like eBooks, I just find them too hard to read. I much prefer to have a hard copy in my hands so that I can jot down notes in the margins and high lite the relevant sections.
I feel you man and that’s why sometimes I just go out buy loads of paper and print ebooks out for easy reading and consultation whenever I want without the need of a computer/e-book reader
Lot of people I have come across locally dont know what Blog is all about, I try to explain to them to the best of my ability. I hope this Karo Itoje ebook will shield more light on what blogging is all about, how to create it and start making money with it.
