Top 3 Reasons Why Google Adsense Beats Selling Ad Slots

When it comes to making money online successfully, there are only 5 major ways to go about it. You either sell your products and services, promote other people’s goods and services and get paid a commission on each successful sale (affiliate marketing), sell ad space or slots on your blog or website or display ads from networks such as Google Adsense, Addynamo , Infolinks etc.
So many bloggers out there especially the social media marketers, have practically nothing good to say about blogs that display glaring adsense advertising and some even go as far as swearing not to share such blogs via Twitter, Facebook and what have you ’cause apparently (in their opinion), the blog owners have sold off their intellect to the make money online machine.
I’ve been doing the make money online thing for like 2 years running now and what I can tell you from my own experience is that, the act of displaying or not displaying Google Adsense on my blogs, hasn’t increased or reduced the amount of tweets or likes on my pages.
Personally as long as an article leaves a good impression on me, adsense or not, I WILL still recommend it to my twitter followers and facebook friends/fans.
Back to the topic in question on why me thinks, making money online via Google Adsense is 10x better than selling 125 * 125 ad slots
WHY GOOGLE ADSENSE ROCKS OVER AD SLOT SALES
- When you are just starting out, finding advertisers for your site can be pretty difficult till you’ve hit like 10,000 page views in a month. With Google Adsense, as soon as you have at least 10 – 20 well written articles, chances of getting into the program are pretty bright and in say 1 week, ads would start displaying on your site.
- If you finally hit 10,000 page views in a month, you can’t really sell your ad spaces for anything above $10 a month as that’s the highest any right minded and savvy advertiser will pay you. With Google Adsense, you don’t worry about selling your ad space for peanuts as Google pays out per click or impression and if your website is in a niche that has a high CPC with traffic coming in from countries such as the US and UK and your adsense ads are well formatted and positioned, you could rake in that same $10 in one day
. - Unless you are going with large banners, 125 x 125 banners can be difficult to "read" and anything above 4 ad spots, would make advertisers run as they would have to compete heavily with the other ads and in turn the probability of losing their investments is quite high.
Selling as slots works pretty well for the major sites as they could command as much as $5,000 a month ’cause of the kind of visitors they attract each month and of course not to forget the amount of traffic hits they get.
Google Adsense remains one of the best ways to earn a passive income online but then again tread carefully as one day, Google could shut you out for not complying with one of their ever changing policies.

Google Adsense does indeed beat selling ad slots, mainly because of their wide reach of worldwide advertisers. They are definitely the best ad network out there.
That said, Google is really starting to get seriously annoying of late. Looks like their popularity and wealth of products is starting to get into their head a little bit.
Alternatives to Google Adsense are looking more and more attractive day by day.
Alternatives are looking attractive but none of them is yet to match the earning potential of Google Adsense unless you want to start advertising Viagra and Tramadol on your site
Eww man!
They would really do that?!
Advertise VIAGRA on your site?!!
Lolz. Na one bidtraffic.com. If you agree to advertise drugs like viagra and tramadol, you get paid more per click especially for US/UK traffic but it’s pretty tacky and somewhat confusing.
Yup. you are so right! I put up adspaces advert on my blog, which has about 71k page views per month for as cheap as 30USD. Its been a year, no one has taken up any of the ad spaces!
LOL. That’s why i stopped offering ad slots here. Anybody that wants to advertise here has to go through Google Adwords
