In a bid to make their deal more appealing, they also offer you a free ENOM Domain reseller account. In other words, you become a domain registrar FREE OF CHARGE! (Normally a start up fee of $500 would be required to sign up with ENOM)

With your free ENOM domain reseller account, you are can sell domains at $9.45 a year. If at some point in time you decide not to do business with Hostgator any more, you also get to keep the free ENOM domain reseller account.

They also offer a Free Billing System, Free Site Builder for your clients, Free Multiple Site Transfers (first 30 transfers) & Multi-Language CPanel for your customers

  1. The Hostgator reseller program is a great deal. I am a big fan of HostGator.

  2. @Fred: For a few weeks I regretted signing up with them as I saw less expensive alternatives but then they are a lot more reliable and so I know I’m getting my money’s worth. Their hosting is completely compatible with every software script, plug-in etc I know. They simply kick ass big time!

  4. I use to be a client of Hostgator. What I liked most was their prominent support willing and able to help whatever the circumstances were. Right now I use Netfirms from which I am also satisfied. You can’t be wrong with those two giants of web hosting industry. They are reliable, cheap and feature rich solutions for any website.

  5. @Webhosting

I couldn’t agree more with you. They both rock!

  6. If I am building an Adsense website or one that doesn’t need a dedicated server Hostgator is my only option. I have never had any significant down time or problems with them.

  7. The problem with hosting companies like Hostgator and Netfirms is that they have just gotten too big to offer personalized support. They do offer some OK deals, but there are companies out there that offer just a good a product with a much more personal level of support and service, which is important to me.

  8. @ Rob From cheap web hosting: It seems like you have issues with Hostgator and Netfirms but I don’t. When it comes to personalised support, Hostgator delivers beyond expectation. Though their pricing is somewhat of steep, I’ve decided to stay with them till my blogging days are over. I don’t know much about Netfirms as I only register my domain with them. I’ve contacted them like twice and they’ve been quite cool.

  9. hi. its a great deal ,. i must say. its good to know about it. great.., thanks for sharing.

  12. Hostgator is quite reliable and their customer service is dependable. You get response promptly via online chat. Also, you can get help on issues you need to sort out by posting your challenge on the peer forum. They may not be the best, but I can vouch they are good.

    • @NaijaEcash: I’ve never done the online chat or peer forum thing with them. All communication have been via email and they’ve been prompt in responding even during WEEKENDS! The fastest response I’ve gotten from them if memory serves me right is in 15 minutes.

  13. Hi Chukwudi,
    Thanks for all the info.
    You’re doing a great job.

I’m a brand consultant, and a creative director, I work online a lot and I can “create anything”.lol

It’s hi-time I made an online move to help a few businesses get happy. I’d appreciate a reply to my email on how I can get this whole web situation sorted out.

I want an easy flow of work with a good webhost, registration, and management. lots of space, functionality for e-business. I took a 2nd look at what you said, and I think am falling for Hostgator.
I don’t know how to get it all fixed up so I can start designing the webpages. I will be using dreamweaver. so how do i integrate with easy flexibility. (I’d be using html/CSS basically). I know they support a lot of back end scripts too, php aspx etc.

Pls help with issue of choice, payment, etc.
    Thanks

    • I’ll get back 2 you as soon as possible. Kinda busy @ the moment. Cheers

    • Thanks for the vote of confidence. I sure do endeavor do put out nothing but my best.

I would have adviced you to start out with something cheap such as Web4Africa which I use
in hosting my second blog PatchworkOfTips BUT I get the vibe that you’re planning on going all out and will thus require
200% dedicated customer service. I thereby suggest you go with Hostgator Hostgator. Their
customer service is practically the only reason why I’m still with them. It’s the BEST!

Don’t get me wrong the customer service at Web4Africa gets the job done for me but Hostgator has got a lot of experienced staff in different scripts (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal etc) and thus would serve you better.

I suggest you contact their customer service guys @ http://www.hostgator.com/contact.shtml with regards to whether you can integrate Dreamweaver seamlessly with their servers. I personally find WordPress much easier to work with though I use Dreamweaver to tweak the theme files from time to time.

I wish all the best and hope to see you online soon.

P.S: If you’re planning on hosting many sites, I advice you to go for Baby plan ($120 per year) while if you’ll be hosting just one site, you can go for Hatchling ($84 per year). I hope you’re ready to foot the bill sha cos for 200% dedicated customer service doesn’t come cheap @ all. I presently use Hatchling.

Less I forget registering a domain with Hostgator is quite expensive ($15 a year). I suggest you register with Netfirms @ $7 for your first year and $10 yearly subsequently.

I used Zenith Bank’s MasterCard Websurfer for all my transactions with Netfirms and Hostgator but with Hostgator you’ll be required to provide a scan of your international passport or driver’s license and a scan of the Websurfer card itself. When you order subsequently you’ll not be required to provide this documents. IT’S JUST A MEASURE TO CHECK FRAUDS COMING FROM CERTAIN COUNTRIES.

Also if the links above don’t work use Netfirms, Hosgator, Web4Africa

Whenever I read your post I can’t help but say you’re one of those sent from heaven up above to teach we mortals what giving is. You are a societal FIGURE. You style of “all that is not given is lost” is in accordance with divine laws. Keep it up Bro

  15. Stanley says:

Hello Chukwudi, I would like to know if one can pay hostgator per month, or, is it strictly on per year?

Does Enom.com accept Zenith websurfer cards?

  17. Thanks i have been able to get the Card. Question i have now is, what exactly is it? is it a master card/ how come it has no expiry date on it? or the cvc numbers that they usually ask for when you are trying to pay with master cards? thank you

    • It’s a mastercard for online shopping only. The CVV2 number, account username & password as well as expiry date will be sent to you when the card has been activated.

P.S: Please adhere to my comment policy when next you’re commenting. I wouldn’t like to edit your name for you again for you. Do have a great night ;-)

    wah,..oke..thanks for sharing….

  21. I’ve used hostgator in the past and they’re pretty good. Recently switched to resellerzoom – they’re a bit cheaper than hostgator and so far they’ve seemed good and the support has always been helpful and quick to respond when i’ve needed them.

  22. Domain reselling is being advertised as a very profitable online money making venture. The profit generating potentials of domain reselling are however dependent on making the right choices.

  23. purnail says:

Hostgator is still my choice. Love them, easy to have it.
