Yet Another Theme Modification & Blog Posts Of The Week 8

Clear Your Browser Cache With CCleaner

What a week! I’ve been messing around with my theme files so much that some of you might have outdated files cached in your browser and thus some information/images etc might appear twisted or worse: new info might not appear @ all.

I implore you all to please clear your browser caches so you can get the most recent configuration of my theme/blog. If you don’t know how to do this on your own please try CCleaner so you can clear your browser cache and windows temporary files as well!

Tomorrow, by God’s grace, I’ll be attending my very first make money online seminar hosted by a Nigerian "guru". This time around Henry Omenogor will supposedly be showing those in attendance how to make real money from The Business of : Affiliate Programs, Blog Farming & Autoblogging! As a bonus he’s also going to teach how to open, verify, fund and withdraw from Payoneer, PayPal and LibertyReserve as well as how to bid on Lime Exchange.

As always, if you stay subscribed to my feed, you’ll DEFINITELY receive a free update regarding ALL the info offered @ this seminar. This is for the benefit of those of you who can’t attend or are wary cos they’ve been conned before.

Now let’s discuss the business of the day ;)

Please take note that earning money online doesn’t exempt you from paying tax! That’s a HUGE FACT but if you’re a non-US citizen/resident doing affiliate marketing, you might actually be exempted from paying tax. Zemalf writes quite an educative post about the issue: US Taxes Guide for Non-US Affiliate Marketers. Thanks to Grizzly’s post for the heads up ;) .

If you’ve been warned in the past about hosting your blogs with free services such as Google’s Blogger and you have refused to pay heed to that warning, please be aware that of recent Google shut down six popular music blogs which they claimed were violating copyright laws when in reality they weren’t: Host Your Own Blog Or Google Might Close It. If you want to see your hard work go down the drain someday just because your free web host was going through PMS, pay no attention to this warning!

Amit Banerjee recently wrote an interesting post on Adsense Revenue sharing using a single adsense account. Though I haven’t tried it out, it appears to have quite some potential ;) : How to Implement Adsense Revenue Sharing Using a Single Adsense Account in WordPress and Blogger

Times without number, I’ve expressed my dislike for partial rss feeds and the guys @ Blogercise are doing the same now with the post: Should I use Full or Partial RSS Feeds?

Finally, some bloggers are quite skilled in the act of NEVER responding to comments left on their blogs by the readers and Allyn Hane voices his frustration @ Dear Chris Brogan.

See you all on Monday ;) !

  1. Thanks for linking to my “tax guide”. I’m happy it has helped you and so many others – Grizzly’s post sure did help that post get some exposure :)

  2. Thanks for the mention too! And the US taxes post is useful – I was researching this myself just last week!

Yikes must admit I’m not great at replying to comments on Blogercise (there is just sooooo much spam every day – I can’t tell what is real!) but I engage much more actively with my gadget community site. It’s actually part of the fun engaging with readers :) !

    Cheers.

    • You’re not great at responding to comments but @ least you make an effort to reply to some. Some folks simply NEVER reply to comments and that can be frustrating especially when you’re commenting cos you need their help.

Anyway to each his own. You’re doing a wonderful job @ your site and me loves it ;) .
      Gracias for stopping by ;)

  3. Came by from ebele’s site, found you in the comments section and decided to check out your site/blog. I’m VERY impressed with what I see so far, you obviously know your stuff and have been doing your research to build your blog into what it is today. Kudos on that and keep up the good work.

By the way, I also use CCleaner and it’s amazing to clear your computer’s cookies and cache, I highly recommend it as well. And I do live in the US so I have to head on over and do my taxes soon enough.

    Anyway, do keep in touch.

    • Your comment landed in my spam folder and I almost deleted it when I saw you used only your keyword in the name field but then Ebele’s name stopped me in my tracks ;) . Now I think I also do remember seeing the name TriNi @ Ebele’s blog ;) .
Thanks for stopping by and for the wonderful compliments.
I’ve subscribed to your feed and hopefully will be leaving a comment or 3 soon ;)
      Have a great week. Cheers!

  4. Udegbunam. Kedu?

I’d be interested in finding out how you feel the seminar went, especially as you have a good eye for sorting out the wheat from the chaff (or the akpu from the gari – take your pick). Perhaps, in the future, running MMO workshops for fellow Nigerians might be something you might want to explore.

I’m gonna hop on over and read that Chris Brogan post.

    Take care…

    • I’m fine. The seminar left me with mixed feelings. Thank God it only cost N1,000 otherwise it would have been a waste of my money. I’m drafting posts based on that seminar. These posts will probably cover the span on my 3 weeks @ NYSC camp when I won’t have computer/internet access.
      I’ll keep you posted ;)
