Close Shave With Scammers & Blog Posts Of The Week 5

My Google Adsense account remains inactive till date . I went to the post office 4 days ago, hoping that my Google Adsense PIN has arrived. No luck! It’s been 6 weeks already and this is the second time the PIN is being sent to me. I’m going to wait another week or two and if no luck by then, I shall be contacting the folks @ Google to see if I can use a friend’s address in the UK to get my PIN.

Anyway, in the mean time, I’ve been doing some reading. I can’t believe I’d forgotten how captivating James Hadley Chase novels are. I also picked up Ann Rice’s Queen of the Damned and Feast Of All Saints but had to quit on them. They were way to intellectual for me. It was as though I was reading one of those poems that are so hard to decipher! . I’ll just settle with watching the Film and TV adaptations .

Let’s get back to my discoveries of the week .

In the Blogosphere, Labnol was kind enough to share a few tips on saving money on printer ink. He suggests the use of a font called Ecofont, which is like the normal Arial font but with little holes punched in the letters: Which Fonts Should You Use for Saving Ink

Did you know that your choice of permalink could slow down your blog? If you are worried about how slow your blog is loading, be sure to revise your permalink structure and make necessary changes using Permalink Redirect by Scott Yang. Labnol advices you on not making the same mistake he made: An Efficient Structure for WordPress Permalinks.

NOTE: Changing permalinks could mess up your blog if you don’t know how to go about it. Tread carefully. I’ve had a horrible experience.

If you run multiple websites with Google Adsense and have your Adsense account linked to Google Analytics, please take note that Google Analytics will only track adsense earnings on your primary analytics blog UNLESS you apply a small code to the wordpress template or web pages of your secondary sites.
