Mood Swings/Crazy Repair Guy & Blog Posts Of The Week 14
Posted by Udegbunam Chukwudi on June - 11 - 2010
I’m so glad this week has finally come to an end as it’s been one hell of a rollercoaster. As the days go by, just the thought of stepping into the clinic gets me hot and bothered and by the time, I’m attending to patients and one of them starts to make my work a lil’ bit difficult, I kinda lash out.
I’m so used to being on my own when frustrated but what am I to do when I have to see patients during one of my major mood swings? Seriously I might have to sign up for anger management soon.
My laptop was such a major source of drama as the st*pid repair guy decided to take me for a ride again. It’s such a long story that I don’t even want to go through it ’cause it brings back memories of the hot verbal abuse that ensued.
I only somehow wish I had attended university here in Nigeria so I would be able to understand how people cope amidst so much frustration both from the disabled government and the corrupted part of the citizens.
So help me God. For real!
These are this weeks top six blog posts. Enjoy ![]()
With the advent of url shortners such as TinyURL, BitLy and others, there’s been an influx of scripts that can help you create your own shortened and trackable URLs without a hitch. One of the benefits of having your own URL shortner is that you’re in control of your shortened URLs as is not the case with other public shortners which could pack up @ anytime possibly without warning.

Ever wanted to display specific messages on your blog without the use of a plug-in? Today might just be your lucky day as I discovered a hack that does just that and I LOVE IT! Check out WordPress & PHP Tutorial: Printing Messages Dynamically Based off of the Post Category.
If you do paid reviews and sponsored posts, you should be aware of the fact that most online companies that facilitate this prohibit the display of ads around the reviews. You can easily avoid this by creating a separate single post template for your reviews et sponsored posts. Check out Use Two or More Single.php. It worked beautifully well for me

Stumbleupon was one of the few consistent sources of referral traffic I had months back and after reading Tia’s 10 Tips for Effective Marketing on StumbleUpon!, I’m considering promoting my posts and others of course via this social network again.
My first sponsored review for SocialSpark just got approved for payment and I’m $10 richer. I’ve been trying to find more review opportunities but they all seem out of the focus of this blog. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and hope something good comes up. @DragonBlogger who has been quite a success at making cash online via SocialSpark shares his Tips For Using SocialSpark.
Finally, Udi of IndustryReview recently told me that hashtags are one of the best way of increasing your chances of getting traffic from twitter. I’ve been doing some reading on this subject and would like to share Mashable’s HOW TO: Get the Most Out of Twitter #Hashtags.
Enjoy the weekend and I wish you all a fabulous week ahead ![]()

wow, this too loaded, I have been missing a lot by not knowing about this blog.
Concerning, socialparks, I have tried getting one of blog approved but it fell short due to not having 20 posts in that 90 days, with you mentioning them, I have decided to meet that target in the 60 days, thanks, you are too much!
And sorry about the laptop repair guy, if this people continue with way people complain about them, my question is will they ever make it?
What do you mean by “not having 20 posts in that 90 days“? I never came across something like that while signing up with them.
I recently stumbled upon this blog and i was really impressed. In fact i am hooked. I was rather surprised that despite the amount of time i have been online, i have never known this blog until now. In just my first week, i can’t help but keep coming back. Something good is really going on here. In all i am impressed that a Nigerian blogger too can have this amount of dedication. keep the good work going chucks.
I’ve also noticed you’ve been hanging around my blog a lot of late. Thanks for the compliments
.
The blog I wanted to use in registration, is actually more than a year old, but I have not been putting content on it for a long time, so the problem is mine, so the sent me the reply that my blog, needs to have 20 posts in the last 90 days before it can be approved, I am working on it sha!
Oh now I see. While you are working @ writing 20 posts in 90 days, you ought to also start generating traffic as well cos that will influence your being accepted or not.
