Feedburner, by default, sends out blog updates to email subscribers with your Blog Title e.g Strictly Online Biz as the subject of the emails and this can make your subscribers either delete the email or open the email and on not liking the content, unsubscribe from your email list.
By changing the subject of your blog’s email updates, your subscribers will be able to know at once what each email contains and make the decision to open or not to open. Whenever someone clicks on a subject that says Strictly Online Biz and finds the info contained within, not to his/her taste, he or she can easily reach for the unsubscribe link after 3-4 of those type of emails.
I’ve just stumbled on the news that Feedburner has added a feature that enables Feedburner users to tweak the title of these email.
It’s called Email Branding and can be found as a submenu of Email Subscriptions under the Publicize tab.
Blogger Satish of Technotip.org has written a wonderful tutorial on getting the best of the Email Branding feature and I think you should check it out, implement it on your Feedburner list and hopefully see less unsubscribers.
Here’s the article: Feedburner – Tips to add latest post’s title as Subject of email.

Nice find. I’ve been wondering how to fix this, as the numbers swing so drastically every day. I’m looking at it now, and I never even knew I could check to see who’s subscribed to the email feed. Thanks!
@Mitch: You’re most welcome.
