As I had promised before, I’ll be sharing all the info I got to learn from the PPC Classroom 2.0 Free DVD. I don’t plan on making the posts run forever, so I’ll practically be going straight to the point about what each of the modules offers.
PPC Classroom 2.0 Module 1: Market and Niche Research
Amit Mehta makes it known that the key goal here is finding hot affiliate offers.
He endorses Click Bank & Commission Junction as his two favorite companies when it comes to affiliate marketing.
With Click Bank, he advises newbies to go for offers that have a minimum of 60% commission and have a high gravity. Gravity = Success of affiliates promoting that product. An offer with a referrer ID of over 90% shows that a lot of affiliates are promoting the offer and so it’s a profitable offer
In the case of Commission Junction which he says is more advanced, offers are based on Earnings per click (EPC) & Network earnings. Your priority would be to target offers with a high EPC and Network Earnings of 4 – 5. Network Earnings = Gravity
He attacked a myth that saturated offers are a no go by saying that you stand a higher chance of success promoting them than less saturated offers because that’s an indication that the product/offer is extremely profitable. The trick is knowing how well to promote the offer and beating your competitors.
When you’ve selected an offer, he advices you to do market research on the content network @ Ezinearticles.com. Your goal is to see if there are ANY warnings pertaining to the offer or the network that’s offering it.
Most importantly, NEVER yourself to an offer. If it ain’t working out and you’ve done your best to make it work, WALK AWAY! Stay attached to an offer and risk losing your money!
Finally if you’ve got a chance to have a word with the affiliate manager, be sure to ask the following questions:
- What’s the top affiliate making? Amit Mehta says a profitable offer is one in which the top affiliate is raking in about $100,000 a month
- Are the affiliates getting traffic to the offer via PPC? 90% of affiliates do
- As a newbie, how much help are you willing to offer me in order to make my promotion of your offer a success? Some offers make things easier for their affiliates by offering keyword lists, optimized landing pages etc.
In the next installment, I shall discuss the details of PPC Classroom 2.0 Module 2: Keyword Research and Building a Killer Profit Pulling Keyword List.
