I cant understand why you dont allow people to use anchor text I have numerous blogs and I allow it as long as people do not use (as you put it) drive by comments, all you need to do is mark these annoying spammers down as spam and then you have given them a cross by there name the people who like blogging and reading peoples posts should be rewarded with a backlink with the anchor text you are penalising people that genuinley want to comment and take advantage of the keywordluv!!!!
Those are my rules as some folks are just into dropping one comment and running off never to be seen again. My regular commentators @ some point in time will get an email allowing them to use any keyword of their choice regardless of my comment policy.
