How To Be A Successful Blogger
Most times we see or hear of folks who are making money online from their blogs and wonder why we aren’t making money from ours. We ask, “What could I possibly be doing wrong?”.
Well in most cases, the answer couldn’t be any simpler. They work hard at it and have a loyal number of readers/subscribers.
If you plan on joining them in sharing in the amount of money there is to be made online, you might as well start striving to have the following qualities:
- You Must Be Hardworking & Resourceful: Always furnish your blog with fresh content as frequently as possible, minimum of 2 – 3 times a week. It might look like a daunting task but it ain’t. All you have to do is go about your daily activities and jot down, in a notepad, all the topics on your niche that you feel your readers would be interested in learning. Then take a day off to sit down and structure those topics into informative articles worth reading. You might find yourself writing as much as 15 posts which should cover you for 5 weeks. Always think out of the box for refreshing new ideas. Note: If you run out of ideas, go through your archive of e-books, find PLR content there and then rewrite them to make them unique. You could also outsource for writers who might charge you any where from $3 – $4 for a 400 word article. You can find them here: www.scriptlance.com, www.elance.com, www.rentacoder.com, www.need-an-article.com, www.rentaghostwriter.com, www.getafreelancer.com.
- You Must Use A Theme/Design That Appeals To Your Readers: Lord knows I can’t count the number of sites I’ve abandoned just from seeing their web design alone. Strive to make your blog as organized as possible. Don’t go cluttering the whole blog with ads like some bloggers do. Clutter spells lack of professionalism for me.
- You Must Never Go Off Topic: For example when I’m visiting a blog about Pop Stars, the last thing I need is to start seeing articles about Doctors and their everyday achievements on that same blog. Get my drift? Find a niche and stick to it. Do not mix niches for any reason @ all.
- You Must Research Ways To Make Money From Your Blogs: Sign on to advertising networks like Google & Yahoo or even sell your own products. I’ve said it before the only way to make money online blogging is through advertisements.
- You Must Never Relent In Generating Traffic: There are millions of blogs out there against which you are competing. You have to sign on to blog directories (Blogarama, Blogdigger, Blog Catalog, Blog Hub, Blog Rankings, Blog Street, Blog Search Engine, Blog Wise, Blogz) and social bookmaking sites (Del.icio.us, Digg, Technorati, Reddit) and promote your blogs. You can even go as ahead as to exchange links with other established blogs so as to increase your backlinks and position yourself higher in the search engines. Commenting in forums and on other blogs is also a way of generating traffic. Check out Aurelius Tjin’s 110 Traffic Generation Tips To Market Your Website.
- You Must Never Lie To your Readers: Successful bloggers are trusted by their loyal followers. Never lie to them so as to sell them some product you have never even tried. Always let them know when you are recommending a product because you have used it. If you are just reviewing the product, let them know as well. This way, you don’t put to risk the trust they already have in you. An example can be found in my posts about web resources.
- Finally You Must Never Give Up: Keep going at it and some day you’ll definitely break through. Quitters Never Make It!
P.S: For those of you who might be outsourcing writers, NEVER give out money up front until the job has been successfully concluded. The last thing you need is someone running away with your dollars and leaving you with a rubbish article or worst case scenario, no article at all.
Have a nice day. ![]()

No to worry. Despite my grudges with religion, I respect everybody’s decision to either belong to one or not.
Unlike your previous theme, this one looks much better.
Your blog’s home page seems to run forever. I suggest you make use of the more tag when writing your posts so that only excerpts appear on your home page and your readers are required to click to read the full posts.
