Just wanted to fulfill a little promise I had made to my fellow bloggers ;)

Rose Desrochers recently launched a blog competition that seeks to reward the winner with six months of free web hosting with a free domain name all from Vision This Hosting.

For more details on how to participate in this contest, do check out Win a free web hosting package from Vision This Hosting. Remember the contest runs from now until Feb 28th, 2010.

Ahmad Mukoshy, the young Nigerian entrepreneur has launched the first public Nigerian URL shortner, Yrn.me!

 yrn-logo

Pronounced Yarn Me and launched on the 4th of February, 2010, it forms part of a bigger project which is still in the works. It’s quite easy to use.

Simply go to Yrn.me, fill in the URL you want to shorten and your shortened URL is thrown back @ ya in no time ;) .

Hopefully as time goes on, it’s use will spread amongst Nigerians and it will probably become the preferred URL shortner by Nigerians ;)

Have a lovely evening fellas!

    Hey Dude,

Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see more of ya.

Meanwhile, as per the opera thingy, i haven’t been able to sort it out. I noticed it too sometime ago but was not sure whether it was browser incompatibility or just download speed/bandwidth issues.

    I’m heading the yrn.me site

    Cheers

    • I had the same issues with my previous theme and it turned out that the comments.php file had an open tag. Just revise your comments.php and look for any open tags. If you don’t know how to go about it, send the file to me and I’d be happy to help ;)
      Have a great day ;)

  2. Thanks for the mention, I really appreciate that. http://yrn.me. I will also be building a wordpress plugin for bloggers to shorten their parma-links.

I am presently working to build its statistical analysis of visits and click-through. This will be a great feature to be born soon on http://yrn.me

  3. Oh! Thanks. I’m glad to see the nice review ;)
