If you’re new to internet marketing, the key to quick success is picking a good niche and dominating the keyword that’s linked to it. Dominating your niche’s keyword(s) will see you in the Top 5 spot in the SERPs and will in turn generate potential buying traffic.
Without preambles, here are Grizzly Bear’s, ways of dominating a niche keyword in record time. Enjoy
- Create a self-hosted wordpress site/blog targeting your niche’s main keyword. Example: Make Money Online or Learn How To Sing.
- Create a blogspot blog or several ones and target the main long tail keyword for your niche. Example: Learn to Sing Like A Star or Learn To Sing In 30 Days.
- Create a Hub page or several ones targeting your long tail keywords (Be careful though as the TOS of Hub pages prohibits creating hub pages just for backlinks. Do please read Lis Sowerbutts’ Make Money With Hub Pages. It’s the only guide I recommend for newbies to Hubpages)
- Create a Squidoo lens or several ones targeting your long tail keywords. (Squidoo is a lot more liberal than Hub Pages but they frown at excessively linking to or promotion of affiliate products)
- Endeavour to make some friends and help them out with links from your blogs/pages as well. They are most likely reciprocate the gesture somehow.
- If you can, post as many keyword anchored articles as you can write to the article directories. Well rewritten blog posts/articles could suffice very well.
- Build all the sites at the same time and using common sense, selectively link them together using content links in the posts and a few sidebar links.
- Take your time and only use original content. Like I said in No 6. If you ain’t got ideas for an original article, you could rewrite an old one and breathe new life into it.
- As your secondary sites/blogs get ranked for your niche’s long tail keywords, reinforce them with targeted long tail anchored links on the other sites and articles.
- You might consider spending $12 a month to join RT’s connectcontent.com program and gain even more targeted backlinks.
- You could also use Grizzly’s Free Backlink Service to find more links from like minded individuals (and make some more friends in the process).
- Finally, do not monetize immediately until you’ve ranked well in the SERPS

Thanks very much for the link out – would you believe that you can actually be asked to pay for a hubpages guide -that’s why I wrote mine for free – I was outraged at the time!
And a big thank you to you as well. That’s quite a comprehensive guide you fleshed out there and giving it away for FREE is absolutely an amazing gesture. The other hubpages guide I bought as a part of a firesale sometime last year can’t compare to yours at all. LOL.
P.S: Thanks for stopping by
This plan/strategy is something I have read over and over on different SEO blogs but for some reason I still have not attempted it. I guess it’s more of a time issue. If I had a weekend, or a week, of free time I’d be able to make all these supporting sites. But unfortunately I haven’t found the time yet. It seems like a daunting task because you have to build backlinks not only for the main site but also for the supporting sites, so you are multiplying your work every time you make another supporting site. But I suppose it’s worth it if you see a good payoff from the main site. One of these days I’ll get around to actually carrying out this plan. Have you done it yourself?
I totally agree with you. Dominating a niche keyword is hard work and to answer your question, Yes I’ve done most of the 12 listings. Squidoo and HubPages are easy to create but until your pages on these sites are popular your backlinks from them are worthless as they’ll remain nofollowed.
I did the creating of various blogs but quit somewhere along the line. It was difficult creating content for one blog, not to talk of 10 blogs. At the moment I’m managing two blogs, StrictlyOnlineBiz and PatchworkOfTips with the former being my main focus.
Thanks for dropping in again.
Nice post. I do these things and I can attest they pay off
Good article. I think this strategy takes a lot of time but at the end it will pay off. Nice blog btw
Yep! Takes a lot of time but is definitely worth it in the long run. Thanks for the compliments and for stopping by
its not a lack of time Mike -its a like of motivation – you have a dream of a making money online – not a business plan, or maybe you don’t really believe that it will work. It does work but you really have to commit to doing a lot of work!

That’s true. It’s a lot of work that simply won’t fit with my schedule @ the hospital. Maybe someday when I’m lucky to have a LONG break, I’ll jump back on track
