Free Blog Setup Services For Five. Grab Yours NOW!

Posted by Udegbunam Chukwudi Under Announcements On August 9, 2010 10 COMMENTS

At the beginning of this month (Sunday 1st August to be precise), EzBlogSetup was launched. So far so good, I’ve been getting a few emails from folks who are curious to know more about the service and of course how legit I was ;-) .

SearchNigerianJobs which was the first wordpress blog I setup for a client probably wasn’t enough to convince them thoroughly thus I went back to the drawing board and started brainstorming ideas that could help boost sales.

After much thought, it occurred to me that my sales page was lacking testimonials needed to drive/boost sales and so I came up with this win-win idea.

EzBlogSetup is now offering 5 FREE blog setup services to the FIRST 5 clients who contact me right from this very moment. If you’re interested, here are the details.

EzBlogSetup Service Is Now LIVE & OPEN For Orders!

Posted by Udegbunam Chukwudi Under Announcements On August 1, 2010 9 COMMENTS

Wordpress Blog Setup Service

It’s with so much joy mixed with exhaustion and Malaria :-D , that I finally announce that my blog setup service by name, EzBlogSetup is now open for orders.

In a nutshell, the service is targeted at folks who want to start blogging with a self-hosted wordpress blog but find the whole wordpress setup thingy a daunting task. Those dying to move over to wordpress from blogspot ain’t left out either.

NOTE: This ain’t a blogspot to wordpress service BUT I’m working at polishing my skills in that arena ;-) . More info on that service as time flies by.

Despite pressure from other blog setup services that charge as much as $80 to $200 for their blog setup service, I’ve decided to set mine at N4,000 ($27) Only. This is cause I SUCK BIG TIME @ charging folks to get things done for them. Besides @ $27, I can sleep well @ night knowing that I haven’t taken too much advantage of the non-tech savvy ;-) .

For now, EzBlogSetup’s service will be targetted @ the local market only. As time goes on (or rather as business starts to pick up ;-) ) I’ll be offering the service to the international community.

To all those who contributed in making this possible, I say a massive thank you. Les Quiero Mucho.

Cheers ;-) .

Help! What Makes An Excellent Blog Setup Service?

Posted by Udegbunam Chukwudi Under Announcements On July 11, 2010 7 COMMENTS

I need the help you of you my readers.

I’ve noticed that there is a surge of people interested in blogging but who don’t want anything to do with the setup process. They’d rather worry about publishing posts than configuring Wordpress thus I’ve decided to start a blog setup service.

Being a sucker for quality service, I’m @ loss with regards to what constitutes a great blog setup service. I need you to help me with things you feel I should include in my blog setup service when it finally goes live.

At the moment I’ve got the following locked down:

  1. Web Hosting and Domain Name Setup
  2. Wordpress Installation
  3. Essential Wordpress Plug-ins and their respective configurations

I need more ideas. Your contributions are great appreciated. Thanks a million ;-)

My Lousy Commenting Policy Undergoes Changes Again!

Posted by Udegbunam Chukwudi Under Announcements On June 6, 2010 18 COMMENTS

Tuesday May 25, 2010 at 9:16 PM, one of the new commentators here contacted me because I had delinked her comment for failing to stick to my commenting policy.

My commenting policy clearly states that commentators will generally be giving a free hand @ using keywords of their choices ONLY after leaving 10 comments.

Below are the emails we exchanged:

Hello.

I recently commented on your blog but had the link removed for not following your commenting policy.  I apologize for wasting your time with that.  I would like some clarification before commenting again.  Am I allowed to use ‘Louisa@Designer Handbags’, or would I have to use Louisa@Galliano’ for the first 10 comments?  If it’s the latter I probably won’t bother.

Thanks.

To this I replied

Thanks for contacting me but sorry. It has to be the latter.
If my policy changes, I’ll let you know. have a great day/night ;-)

And she replied again

Yeah no offense, but that’s a pretty lousy blog commenting policy. Basically you are forcing your commenters to give you 10 ‘free’ comments before you give them anything in return.  Most blogs are more appreciative of their commenters as they know it is what keeps all of their posts fresh in the eyes of the search engines.

Anyways, it’s your call.  I have plenty of other blogs that would happily accept my comments.

Thanks.

-Louisa

To everyone who have wanted to leave a comment here but decided not to after reading my “lousy” commenting policy, this is what I have to say.
