On one hand, I think that having a general understanding of computing, the internet, and blogging in general should be a requirement before trying to make money from blogging. So in that sense I think it's okay if a guide is not completely newbie-friendly. On the other hand, if a guide claims to be a Newbie's Guide then it better have all the details for anyone who is not familiar with blogging at all. And in the end, that is probably the type of people purchasing these guides in the first place. If you want to get into blogging but don't know anything about it, $37 isn't that much to pay (in the US, at least) for a good guide that will teach you everything.
